I just notice that inbox items seem to ordered lower to higher according to Synapse patient ID number. Is that so ?
Date it was added or Date of Item entered ? My inbox is ordering based on synapse ID number - I just checked again.
I'd like my inbox to be sorted where the oldest information is shown at the top - BUT if there are multiple inbox items dealing with the same patient (same synapse ID) I'd like to have all those items appear together ... is that possible ? The current main sorting method of the INBOX is to order the items from lowest to highest Synapse ID and I see no utility in that.
Multiple sort criteria is not feasible at this stage. The point of having the earliest first is to get you to clear it .. this is a FIFO stack.
FIFO stack would be that if my secretary scanned something new it would go to the top. But it doesn't. For my new patients (highest Synapse ID number) their stuff goes to the bottom.
This works now. How about a [Later] button ? The problem I run into is I want to "glance over everything in my inbox" but some things take 35 minutes, so I want to do it later.

The inbox is ordered in the order they were scanned. So, the oldest item scanned will be at the top of the inbox and the latest will be at the bottom. To have a [Later] button would mean deleting the inbox item and adding it again. It's not necessary. You can skip an item and work from the middle of the inbox if you like.

[/quote] Latest trouble is that my staff have been scanning transfer files and these can be divided into 2 to 30 parts, depending on the complexity of the patient. My inbox is now at 400 and I can't find my recent results as they are scattered in amongst the patient transfer files. I really dont have time to review the patient transfer files til the weekend, so now my inbox is jammed. I did tell my staff to "stop scanning" transfer files for now. I'd like to be able to clean up my inbox items, this would be another use for a "Later" type function.
What Qilin was doing was asking his staff to assign all of that stuff that did not need reviewing to the dummy doctor. And then later on someone could log in as the dummy doc and clear it all. So, I'd suggest the same .. get the staff to scan the transfer notes and assign them to your dummy doc. That way they won't fill up your inbox.
