My Incoming Partner wants to start using Synapse now. Problem: his office is 10 min drive and he has no internet Q: is it possible to deploy a synapse at his office and then merge the .fdb files later ? How would this be done ?
Sounds like a bad idea based on the information you've given. Who is going to train him and his staff? If you were to do this, you would have to set all the trigger values in the database to a figure that will never overlap with yours.
He will be moving in .. let's say ... August 15th ... so it's only a defined time .... I will train him .... I really just want to give him a place to type his daily notes. Would it be easier if it was just one user ... no Documents (scanned items) and he was just entering Consult notes ?
Would adding documents or adding diagnoses complicate things ? Anything he could add that would complicate things ?
I guess you get what you pay for @ $300 per night! See http://www.westin.com.au/sydney/guestrooms.html - first time the Academy of Rheumatology was being held in Australasia.
My friend is getting married in Williamsburg, Virginia Hotel - only $150 per night /phew I am going on Wednesday AM and coming home Sunday Night - NO DARREN !
Are you sure about this ? What about simple stuff like: all scanned files would need renaming ? (to the new synapse user ID #). etc.
Shouldn't yes. Might it be helpful ? In damage control mode, yes. When transferring a chart, is it be helpful ? Yes. (this has been essential for me). Q: Is it possible to have all his files either start with a letter ? ie. p101- or p1531- ... ?
Transferring files is just a question of doing a report on all files for a patient. That will give you all the file names. If you get about 10,000 files in a directory, you will find that directory tools break down.
How ? Via Reports>Query>Build Query>SQL ? What is the query to accomplish this ? Synapse directory tools ? Or other Windows Directory Tools ?
windows gui tools sql query - although the results are probably in the synapse client already ... I wonder if I should just expose those details?
